The Federation consists of Full and Corresponding Members, who share the same benefits and
rights, except from the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which only Full
Members have. MIO-ECSDE is headed by an Executive Bureau, which
consists of eleven (11) Members. Four members are from the EU Mediterranean countries, four
are from the Non-EU Mediterranean countries, one member is appointed by the EEB,
one by
Elliniki Etairia and one by RAED. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Member
Organisations remains the main institution constituting the basis of the Federation. The
AGM is convened once a year. In parallel, MIO-ECSDE
maintains its original role as facilitator of
more than 500 Environment and Development NGOs which are
registered in its network database.
The Federation?s Secretariat is based in Athens, hosted in
a nicely restored neoclassical building, owned by Elliniki Etairia, in the old city district of
Plaka.
